Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Bettandemics ("we", "us") collects through www.bettandemics.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

1. Information we collect

• When you place an order: your name, mobile number, email address, delivery address (including city, state and pincode), and the items you ordered.
• When you contact us: the details you share with us by WhatsApp, phone or email, such as your name, number and the messages you send.
• In your browser: your cart and your light/dark display preference are stored in your own browser (local storage) so the Site works as you expect. This is not shared with us. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

We do not collect or store your card, UPI, netbanking or wallet details. See "Payments" below.

2. Payments

Payments are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited ("Razorpay"), a payment gateway that is certified under the PCI DSS security standard. When you pay, you enter your payment details directly in Razorpay's secure checkout window. We receive only the outcome of the payment (such as a payment ID and whether it succeeded), not your card, UPI, bank or wallet details. Razorpay handles your payment information under its own privacy policy, available at razorpay.com/privacy.

3. How we use your information

• to process your order, take payment confirmation and arrange delivery;
• to contact you about your order by phone, WhatsApp or email, for example to confirm delivery or share courier tracking;
• to handle refunds, replacements, warranty and support requests;
• to keep records required for accounting, tax and legal compliance, and to prevent fraud and misuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. Who we share it with

• Razorpay, to process your payment and any refund.
• Shiprocket (our shipping aggregator) and the courier companies it books, who receive your name, phone number, email and delivery address so they can collect and deliver your order. They handle this information under their own privacy policies.
• Service providers who help us run the Site and send order notifications (for example our cloud hosting and email providers), who may handle the data only for that purpose.
• Authorities, where we are required to do so by law or a lawful request.

5. Storage, security and retention

Order information is stored on secure cloud servers (Amazon Web Services, Mumbai region) with access limited to us. Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information. We keep order records for as long as needed to fulfil the order, handle returns and warranty, and meet accounting, tax and legal requirements. After that we delete or anonymise them.

6. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it (we may need to keep some order records where the law requires). You can also withdraw your consent to us contacting you, other than for messages needed to complete an order. You can clear the cart and preference data stored in your browser at any time through your browser settings. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

7. Children

The Site is not meant for children under 18. If you are under 18, please place orders only with the help of a parent or guardian.

8. Third-party links

The Site links to services such as WhatsApp and Razorpay. They have their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date above.
